Molten Lava Cake

Its super long time i have blogged about 5 months i guess...anyways its never too late :)...I have been thinking about this recipe preparation for quiet sometime now, and what better than "Christmas" to pamper oneself with this dark chocolate rich delicacy...Its quick, delicious...(quick because the max. baking time should not exceed 10 mins.) what could be the best way to rejoice the eve by spending sometime in preparing this finger leaking dish which could be treated as a course of meal (since it is as heavy as whole meal), or a dessert or a teatime snack...

Ingredients :-
1.Compound chocolate (Dark or light) - 125 grams
2.Unsalted butter - 125 grams
3.Two eggs
4.Sugar 1/3 rd measuring cup
5.All purpose flour 1/4 th measuring cup

Methodology :-

1) Using blender beat egg and mix sugar into beaten egg, mix it well

2) Need to melt the chocolate using double boiler system on stove ( is a method where the product is not directly heated, instead placing a pan or vessel above one more vessel filled with boiling water, make sure the below vessel is large enough to hold above vessel whose bottom needs to be touching the portion of boiling water so that heat transmits in a right way). Make sure the chocolate turns into a thin uniform liquid paste.

3) Add butter to liquidified chocolate, mix well ( In case u find difficulty in melting the hard chocolate, u can start adding butter to it which could help in bringing the right amount of quick texture to the chocolate paste)

4) Add butter+liquid chocolate mix to the egg+sugar mix, mix well

5) Add all purpose flour to the whole mix

6) Place the prepared batter in baking bowls (Ceramic small bowl preferred, size of your choice sufficient enough to serve one person at a time)

Note : The batter quantity approximately serves 4 people, so four bowls could be microwaved simultaneously, make sure the bowl is partially filled so that the batter does not ooze out while baking.

7) Baking time : As per my study online, i have seen that the baking time mentioned for this particular recipe is about 10 mins, but i could reach the baking stage in about 3 to 5 mins when microwaved in our oven. So please consider the baking time accordingly...depending upon the convection or microwave oven you use.

Note : Its always best to bake it for partial time and check stage wise so that the task of achieving the right amount of baking becomes easier. The agenda for this particular cake is to slightly under bake it so that you achieve that molten chocolate stage, or else if baked completely u can achieve the brownie taste stage.

It all depends upon which taste an individual prefers, since we love brownies, i preferred the second choice and slightly over baked it for about 4 mins.

Its best to serve hot, and with vanilla ice-cream, relishing :)
